"XR80" or "XL16i" on the cabinet is a SERIES, not a model — it spans several cabinet sizes and BTU inputs built across about a decade, and the parts differ between them. The real model number starts with T (Trane) or A (American Standard) and is on the rating plate inside the burner door. We cannot verify a fit from the series name alone, and we will not guess. Where's my model number?
Replacement parts for Trane and American Standard equipment. Trane markets much of its residential range by SERIES rather than by model — XR80, XL16i — so the name on the front of the cabinet is usually not enough to verify a part. The full number is on the rating plate, and it is what we check against.
